Well, here it is! Patrick's Summer 2009 travel blog! I hope you all find the title sufficiently puntastic. (My friends call me Pun Dog. [This is not true.]) For those who do not get it, I recommend reading Hunter S. Thompson - perhaps a cliché choice for a co-op-dwelling university student, but I love his style. For those who do not get it and happen to be family members such as my grandma, I recommend not reading Hunter S. Thompson, as you may become concerned with my well-being.
In less than a week, I will get on a plane headed for Dublin, and from there my plans are endless! Farm work, travel betwixt the isles, rendezvous-ing with friends in the area. So much to do, so little time!
...Wait, I'll be there three months. Nevermind, that's plenty. Fun fact: if I stayed abroad for three days more than I am planning to, I would officially be an illegal immigrant in the Republic of Ireland!
Anyway, this is mostly just to make sure this whole "blog" thing is a-workin' properly. Though Internet availability will not be as reliable as it is here at home, I will do my best to update it a couple of times every week once I'm there. I daresay you will all eagerly anticipate each upcoming entry!
